No*Changes round-up.

21 May 2023

This week we’ve got Crocs, confused kids, miniature takeaways and some fantastic news for the disabled gaming community.

Crocs x Minecraft AR Game

We feel like you’re either pro Crocs or no Crocs, there is no in between, like Marmite for the soles. Crocs have had many collaborations throughout the years, and Minecraft has been one of those since February 2023, with limited edition shoe design and mix and match charms celebrating the world of Creepers and Endermen.

Choose Your Mode, developed by the creative agency Gravity Road, lets Minecraft players immerse themselves in two AR-powered games. Owners of the limited edition Crocs gain access to these games by simply scanning one of the charms on the shoe. Non-owners have a slightly less cool way of entry by scanning a QR code on their site.

The games promise to channel the two Croc wearer modes, sports mode and relaxed. Crocs Crossing, where the player traverses a lava-surrounded maze, and the second, Crocs Creator which allows you to build Minecraft creations with their AR overlays.

Burger King’s ‘A little more confusing’

Going to Burger King for plant-based food is definitely a confusing premise, and that’s exactly what creative agency DAVID Madrid played with with their award-winning campaigns for BK.

In this third chapter we look at the confusing parts of life from a child perspective. Do snails just not want legs? Why do teachers ask so many questions, surely they should know the answers? And is a cookie jar still a cookie jar if there are no cookies inside?

From the witty copyrighting and beautiful art direction, there’s no surprise many brands have been trying to emulate it. In our opinion this is another award-worthy chapter in this great campaign from David.

Mother London x Uber Eats Tiny Tasting Menu

As you may know from the beginning of the No*Changes blog, miniature things are our jam. So this latest campaign for Uber Eats and their partnership with Disney+ ticks all our tiny boxes.

Launched for the release of Disney’s Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, the Quantum Café was installed into walls in London, Manchester and Bristol for fans to find. Then on the Uber Eats App you can order from ‘The Tiny Tasting Menu'' featuring perfectly miniature 10 takeaway classics that fit in the palm of your hand.

PS5’s Access Controller

We are big fans of all things gaming at No*Changes, so this news made us so happy on many levels. To celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day, PS5 have formerly announced the Access Controller. Transcending the boundaries of a typical controller, it stands as a refined and adaptable accessibility controller kit, developed through a partnership with experts in the field of accessibility. Sony's primary objective is to elevate the gaming experience, especially for individuals with disabilities.

Including a range of interchangeable button and stick caps within the controller allows players to customise their layouts based on their individual strengths, range of motion, and physical requirements. Beyond the wide range of hardware customisation options, the Access controller features a myriad of ways for players to create personalised UI settings and configurations that unlock new ways to play.
